About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build production-grade backend services in Java and Python
  • Build and scale Java and Python services and APIs
  • Own services end-to-end
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines
  • Apply DevOps practices including containers, Infrastructure as Code, and observability
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into the platform
  • Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and on-call rotations
  • Operate within a large-scale, highly available distributed cloud platform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience with strong Java and Python skills
  • 3+ years of CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • 3+ years of DevOps experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with a public cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle
  • Linux and networking experience
  • Preferred: SQL experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Preferred: Hands-on machine learning experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
  • Preferred: Experience with Kafka, Spark, or Airflow
  • Preferred: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
  • Preferred: NoSQL experience with MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB
  • Preferred: Experience supporting 24/7 high-availability production environments
