About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and evaluate AI-powered accessibility tools
  • Develop fix tools and agent skills that generate, validate, and repair accessible code across Aura and LWC
  • Design and expand evaluation datasets and reviewer sets to prove correctness per WCAG criterion
  • Encode WCAG success criteria and Salesforce internal standards into the agent's knowledge base
  • Expand per-criterion coverage and grow the reviewer set
  • Package tools into developer workflows including AI Suite, DX MCP, Cursor, Claude Code, and Vibes
  • Remediate real Sa11y test failures and feed learnings back into the tools
  • Build component identification and rendered accessibility-tree verification capabilities
  • Develop automated coverage for WCAG reflow and focus-management categories
  • Drive adoption through telemetry and the Iron metrics dashboard
  • Guide Salesforce web development efforts as the WCAG lead

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web development
  • Familiarity with at least one component framework (LWC, Aura, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Quality mindset with emphasis on tests, metrics, and evaluation
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-assisted development preferred
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility, including WCAG 2.2, ARIA, screen readers, keyboard navigation, focus management, and color contrast preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce UI ecosystem (LWC, Aura, Base Components) and testing frameworks (Jest, Selenium/functional tests) preferred
  • Experience with developer-tooling adoption, telemetry, or metrics-driven product work preferred
