About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and document the overall system architecture across services and components
Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide major design decisions
Partner with engineering leads to ensure architectural consistency as the platform grows
Identify scalability, performance, and reliability risks early
Design solutions to address scalability, performance, and reliability risks
Shape the technical foundation and long-term architecture of the MeshMesh mesh networking platform
Work closely with engineering leaders to ensure the system scales with customer demand

Requirements

What you’ll need

10–15 years of experience
Significant experience architecting distributed systems at scale
Skilled at communicating complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience guiding architecture across multiple engineering teams
Ability to design systems and workflows leveraging Claude and modern AI coding tools, including agent loops, tool use, and context engineering
Prior experience with networking, mesh, or edge-computing systems preferred
Experience in a platform or infrastructure product used by other engineering teams preferred
