Key responsibilities & impact

Set the vision for the product area and guide the team through implementation
Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and user research teams
Bridge design, product, engineering, and marketing teams across multiple disciplines
Oversee web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences
Communicate complex ideas to senior leadership through documentation, reviews, and presentations
Produce prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other design collateral
Lead the evolution of design systems and teach the design systems approach
Generate detailed final design specifications for developer builds
Work with developers and quality experts to deliver polished products
Promote new interface guidelines and design patterns across the organization
Mentor and develop designers and advocate for team goals
Partner with recruiting to identify and hire diverse talent
Develop software with global reach for users of multiple languages and abilities
Champion accessibility and prioritize accessible features and fixes
Set and own the product’s creative identity and guide its implementation

What you’ll need

12–15+ years of experience designing and delivering software products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team
Experience shaping product vision at a senior leadership level
Ability to deliver solutions independently with on-site and distributed teams
Experience managing internal and external stakeholder engagement and expectations
Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
Experience using analytics and research to drive decisions and product iterations
Strong AI fluency, including experience with emerging AI tools and new ways of working
Ability to persuade and build consensus with senior leadership on fast-moving, ambiguous projects
Ability to deliver original, high-quality, conceptually strong design work that meets business needs
Executive-level communication and active listening skills
Experience building relationships with senior product and engineering stakeholders
Proven track record managing large design initiatives end to end and competing priorities across disciplines
History of driving meaningful team- or organization-level process improvements
Mastery of designing and thinking in design systems
Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma
Related technical degree required
Portfolio and password to access portfolio required; submissions without portfolios or work samples will not be considered
E-Commerce or app marketplace experience is a plus
