About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and scaling of backend services interacting with data pipelines and frontend web applications
- Process millions of data workflows daily
- Architect AI-based solutions for revenue forecasting problems
- Investigate and resolve complex technical and production issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement durable solutions
- Design reusable backend application services, data integration capabilities, and developer tooling
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practices
- Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and support teams
- Build and evolve the core platform powering Salesloft products and scalable data processing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience building reliable, scalable production software in Java/Go within microservice-based environments
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and experience troubleshooting and operating production systems
- Proven ability to improve system reliability, performance, and operational excellence, including incident resolution and root-cause analysis
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Solid experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, including data modeling and performance optimization
- Demonstrated ability to use observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting
- Experience with common Java/Go testing frameworks
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and support teams
- Experience developing AI applications is a plus
