About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a high-performance team of equipment engineers on the Leviathan team
  • Own day-to-day engineering team operations and drive long-term cost-reduction and continuous-improvement projects
  • Serve as primary liaison between Cleans, SEMES, and other cross-functional teams
  • Supervise 6–10 equipment engineers, providing coaching, performance reviews, and growth plans
  • Foster collaboration and champion Lean/TPS/6S practices
  • Oversee the full fab-equipment lifecycle from qualification through de-commissioning
  • Manage Change-Point Management activities, daily equipment status reviews, and qualification matrix updates
  • Review pass-downs, WIP, and work-request queues each shift
  • Prioritize equipment repairs, parts orders, and qualifications
  • Supervise PTP/WR tickets for non-urgent work
  • Drive team quality initiatives and strategize projects improving cost, quality, and throughput
  • Analyze equipment data using Python, VBA, Spotfire, or JMP to identify trends and recommend adjustments
  • Partner with SEMES, vendors, Fab Engineering, Maintenance, and support groups to resolve complex equipment problems
  • Own capital projects for new or upgraded equipment, including cost justification, schedule coordination, and budget tracking
  • Lead cross-functional TFTs focused on Stop-Loss, BM reduction, and quality improvements
  • Ensure compliance with SAS fab protocols
  • Maintain current equipment certifications and audit readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years semiconductor equipment engineering
  • 2+ years of direct supervisory or lead experience
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and qualifying fab tools
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, VBA) and/or data-analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP, Matlab, SQL)
  • Strong grasp of statistical methods, Change-Point Management, and structured problem solving
  • Ability to follow SAS fab protocols, including clean-room attire and PPE
  • Ability to lift ≤ 35 lb
  • Must keep equipment certifications current and maintain audit readiness
  • Must be authorized to access information subject to U.S. export control laws or be eligible for government authorization
