About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and own the European build outlook and approach in alignment with Samsung's global compose direction
Provide executive leadership across European Product Build, UX, UI, and CMF activities
Ensure design excellence, consistency, and differentiation across European initiatives
Represent Europe in global design governance, reviews, and executive leadership forums
Lead and evolve the design organization across Europe
Build a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive design culture
Drive talent development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
Strengthen collaboration with global design teams in Korea and other regions
Act as a strategic design partner to European business leadership
Support senior leaders in engaging customers and partners, particularly in retail and experiential contexts
Translate customer insights into design strategies and execution
Shape Samsung Design's future global portfolio and long-term innovation strategy
Provide team strategy, mentoring, coaching, feedback, and development opportunities
Manage onboarding, offboarding, colleague lifecycle processes, goal setting, evaluations, and salary reviews
Ensure team compliance with company processes, procedures, values, and deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
20+ years of leadership experience in design, innovation, or related fields
Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary design organizations at an executive level
Strong expertise across Product Design, UX/UI, and CMF
Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and external partners
Executive leadership and strategic decision-making
Organizational design and capability building
Strong business and portfolio acumen
Deep expertise in design thinking and innovation
Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence
Cross-cultural leadership and global collaboration
