About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform advanced repairs, inspections, and commissioning of mining equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Provide technical support and recommend equipment improvements.
  • Prepare service reports, failure analyses, and related documentation.
  • Maintain service tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient field work.
  • Lead field service activities and provide technical guidance to technicians.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members on service procedures and best practices.
  • Support work planning, task coordination, and quality execution.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional and responsive service.
  • Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings, on site or off site, as required.
  • Comply with safety policies and all applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Identify and report unsafe work practices, incidents, and near misses.
  • Complete a “Take Five” risk assessment before each task.
  • Maintain an orderly work area and comply with housekeeping requirements.
  • Participate in environmental, health, and safety training.
  • Wear the personal protective equipment required for each task.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant trade certification (Red Seal certification is an asset).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with mining equipment is an asset.
  • Previous experience with this type of equipment is an asset.
  • Common Core training is an asset.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mining equipment.
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including the MS Office suite.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to local mining sites and across Canada as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work variable schedules as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
