About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shape and govern the use of AI across HR Technology
Provide architectural direction for Workday-native capabilities, custom-built solutions, and AI agents
Ensure development aligns with the company’s AI strategy, technology architecture, and standards
Define and maintain the AI strategy and roadmap for HR with the Head of HR Technology
Identify AI opportunities, translate business needs into viable solutions, and lead or contribute to studies, pilots, and implementations
Establish architectural and governance principles for data, privacy, security, documentation, ownership, and lifecycle management
Assess development across the global Workday Human Capital Management System and its AI capabilities, as well as large language models, agentic AI, and enterprise AI platforms
Design AI interactions with HR systems, enterprise platforms, and data sources
Facilitate workshops and build AI awareness
Collaborate with HR, IT, architecture, legal, and data privacy specialists
Report to the Head of HR Technology, with a dotted line to the Manager Architecture Advisory, Enterprise Architect

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience from technical positions
Experience building AI solutions and working with related technologies and architectural concepts
Strong knowledge of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and solution architecture
Hands-on experience with HCM or ERP systems and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, Azure AI, Foundry, Power Automate, MCP, A2A or similar
Understanding of APIs, integrations, data architecture, and cloud technologies
Experience prototyping AI solutions, gathering requirements, and facilitating workshops
A university degree, or equivalent experience
Strong English communication skills
Curiosity, self-direction, structured approach, broad perspective, ownership, and stakeholder expectation management
