About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support daily Logistics Engineering activities across the C4 Hub, Burgersfort, and core network regions
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, process improvement opportunities, and performance gaps
- Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs
- Support SAP system enhancement initiatives and process optimisation activities
- Assist with implementation, stabilisation, and optimisation of WMS and TMS
- Support readiness activities for future SAP EWM implementation
- Assist with warehouse process optimisation, layout reviews, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Support continuous improvement projects through operational data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and engineering records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on warehouse operations, inventory management, freight, and supply chain initiatives
- Provide project coordination and administrative support for Logistics Engineering projects
- Assist with system testing, UAT, and implementation activities for new supply chain solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Supply Chain Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline
- Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience
- At least 3 years in a similar role/capacity
- Exposure to warehouse operations, logistics processes, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel between operational sites
- Sound understanding of Supply Chain Management principles
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution management
- Knowledge of inventory planning and control
- Knowledge of transport and freight management
- Knowledge of operations management
- Knowledge of process mapping and business process improvement
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Lean Warehousing principles
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling
- Knowledge of data analytics and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of engineering economics and cost analysis
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Project Management qualification or relevant experience
- Academic or practical exposure to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Business Intelligence tools, and SQL or database fundamentals
- SAP exposure is advantageous
- Blue Yonder WMS and TMS experience is advantageous
- Power BI experience is advantageous
- SQL or database fundamentals are advantageous
