About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical work and relationship for a portfolio of Sanity technology partners
  • Manage project plans, roadmaps, business conversations, and technical scoping
  • Lead conversations with partner business and product leaders
  • Assess technical feasibility and effort and follow up with detailed scoping
  • Shape partner pitches and joint roadmaps with grounded technical input
  • Identify and document integration or MCP-based solution opportunities, including architecture, APIs, data flows, and integration points
  • Build prototypes and proofs of concept to de-risk builds and clarify design decisions
  • Produce technical documentation for partner engineering teams and Sanity R&D
  • Navigate partner APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation and advise on integration trade-offs
  • Partner with R&D during builds and launches and validate implementations
  • Review partner-built integrations for code quality, security posture, API usage, and customer value
  • Provide actionable partner feedback and flag systemic gaps to Product and Engineering
  • Evaluate partners’ AI product surfaces, including model choices, agent tooling, and developer experience
  • Identify technical leverage for Sanity’s content platform in AI-native partner stacks
  • Hand off scoped opportunities to R&D and represent partner needs in the roadmap
  • Support Solutions Architects and Sales Engineering with reference architectures and prototypes
  • Report to the VP, Technical Partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–6 years as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical partner/integration role
  • Track record of scoping technical integrations, handing them off cleanly to a build team, and managing related relationships
  • Builder mentality and ability to generate creative joint-solution ideas
  • Ability to engage with business and product leaders and translate between strategic and technical discussions
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and modern AI/developer tools
  • Comfortable prototyping directly in partner or third-party codebases
  • Working knowledge of core AI/LLM concepts
  • Hands-on experience with the MCP framework
  • Strong technical writing and ability to produce build-ready specifications
  • Ability to operate independently across ambiguous and well-scoped problems
  • Experience reviewing or auditing third-party integrations for security or architecture (nice to have)
  • Experience with headless CMS or headless commerce integration patterns (nice to have)
  • Background in developer relations or technical partnerships (nice to have)
  • Experience using Sanity in production or building solutions with Sanity (nice to have)
