About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Data Management Lead for the Market Access & Pricing domain
- Govern Market Access data asset development and ensure AI-Ready Data standards
- Lead the AI-Ready Data progression and Medallion certification process
- Own business metadata, semantic-layer, and ontological definitions
- Coordinate semantic-layer development with Digital and Data Engineering teams
- Establish and maintain data standards, definitions, ownership, stewardship processes, access controls, and audit compliance
- Define data-quality rules and thresholds, monitor scores, and coordinate issue resolution
- Monitor production workloads and rectify delivery issues according to service-level agreements
- Establish an audit-readiness playbook
- Evaluate data-management, governance, metadata-cataloging, and AI-readiness tools and platforms
- Partner with Analytics Product Management and Data Engineering to deliver governed data products through the enterprise data mesh
- Gather data-access, reporting, and analytical-use-case requirements from Contracting, Government Pricing, Finance, and Access Strategy stakeholders
- Track emerging data-management practices, AI-readiness frameworks, and enterprise tooling
- Establish evaluation frameworks to improve AI-system accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, auditing, or a related field within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or a similarly complex regulated industry
- Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks, metadata cataloging, or data quality management
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks preferred
- Experience with data mesh concepts preferred
- Experience working within or alongside agile delivery teams such as Scrum or SAFe preferred
- Exposure to AI/ML data requirements and AI-ready data concepts preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, access control, stewardship, and audit readiness
- Familiarity with AI-Ready Data frameworks, metadata completeness, data quality scoring, and semantic layer development
- Business acumen in pharmaceutical Market Access, GTN, contracting, or pricing
- Experience with data management and governance tools such as Informatica CDGC, Collibra, Alation, dbt, dagster, airflow, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence is a must
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills across business and technical teams
- Ability to translate complex data concepts into plain language and business requirements into technical specifications
- Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and data quality
- Approximately 10% travel
