About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the key focal point for people and organization-related topics for more than 2,500 R&D employees
- Serve as strategic partner and advisor to relevant R&D global and local business leaders
- Translate global R&D and P&C strategy into concrete people and organization objectives across North America
- Drive the talent agenda, including talent reviews and succession plans for roles up to and including L5
- Advise and guide North America-based R&D teams on executing the R&D business strategy
- Manage communication and execution of organizational initiatives and individual employee relations issues
- Bring the People & Culture agenda to life through advising, coaching and influencing business leadership teams
- Contribute to global and strategic workforce planning by providing country perspectives
- Drive and support delivery of R&D People priorities in North America and coordinate in-country projects
- Hold managers accountable for leading and developing their people through development activities and online tools
- Leverage local people insights to drive initiatives and provide voice of customer for global initiatives
- Promote Sanofi DEI and culture through in-country initiatives
- Manage complex employee cases by exception
- Encourage managers and employees to use self-service tools and OneSupport
- Report to the Global Head of People & Culture R&D and participate in global R&D P&C and Sanofi North America P&C leadership teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- University Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Labor Law, Psychology or comparable
- Fluent in English
- 10-15 years of professional People & Culture experience
- Strong experience of common People management processes, including performance and reward, talent acquisition, development and succession planning, and related digital tools
- Strong business orientation and commercial mindset
- Ability to operate within a globally integrated environment and work seamlessly with global/local leadership teams
- Ability to scope, plan and implement P&C projects, including appropriate change management support
- Experience in organizational design and development
- US labor law knowledge
- Structured and independent way of thinking and working
- Ability to work in a team
- Self- and situational awareness
- Ability to manage by influence
- Flexibility and resilience
- Fluent English language proficiency
