About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the post-Design phase of packaging artwork development and production of regulatory labelling for commercial pharmaceutical and medical device packaging and print materials
- Translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready artwork files
- Own artwork execution standards, workflows, governance, and final release processes
- Manage regulatory labels, cartons, leaflets, dielines, and multiple SKUs from concept through production release
- Build and improve artwork workflows, approval systems, version control, and documentation standards
- Organize, archive, and maintain artwork assets in audit-ready centralized systems
- Prepare production files and specifications for packaging, print, digital, and merchandising applications
- Coordinate packaging artwork projects, tracking, reporting, risks, dependencies, and communication
- Collaborate with Packaging Design, Packaging Engineering, Regulatory, Product Development, Supply Chain, Production, Master Data, external agencies, plants, and print partners
- Manage artwork revisions, approvals, and version control for product launches and throughout the design lifecycle
- Own post-launch artwork changes and coordinate BOM updates and phase-in/phase-out timing
- Proofread artwork and visual communications for accuracy and compliance
- Serve as a subject matter expert in graphic design, packaging design, typography, color management, and production processes
- Provide creative direction and design recommendations
- Lead and develop internal packaging artwork resources and manage workload, resources, performance, and career development
- Identify efficiency and cost optimization opportunities and own packaging artwork operations budgets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communication, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, or Regulated CPG industries OR Bachelor's degree in graphic design, graphic communication, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, or Regulated CPG industries
- Strong experience oriented to regulatory labelling graphic design work, packaging operations, print production, creative operations, or related functions
- Demonstrated expertise across print, digital, brand, design
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative concept development and execution
- Experience managing artwork development from concept handoff through production release
- Strong understanding of packaging print processes, artwork management systems, color approval processes, and packaging specifications
- Familiarity and/or training in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) activities and regulated environment requirements
