About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support critical production applications and resolve production issues
  • Troubleshoot nonproduction and production environments relating to code deployment and application releases
  • Address major incidents and critical application-system issues
  • Monitor and resolve requests in the ASE ServiceNow queue
  • Perform daily maintenance at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Resolve issues identified through maintenance or automation results
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure availability, performance, security, and maintainability requirements
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems to determine root causes
  • Bridge development and operations through software-engineering-based systems support and administration
  • Improve efficiencies in the software delivery pipeline
  • Investigate and resolve server-infrastructure issues
  • Perform impact analysis and drive root-cause remediation across application and infrastructure tiers
  • Facilitate real-time and offline triage and engage vendors as needed
  • Provide technical oversight and execute infrastructure upgrades
  • Create clear technical documentation
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders, business teams, incident/problem managers, technical support, and development teams
  • Deliver performance metrics and support continual service improvement
  • Coordinate root-cause analysis, document workarounds and known errors, and implement incident-prevention improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience — Required
  • 5–9 years’ experience supporting web-based applications using relevant technology architectures — Required
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, including waterfall, iterative, and modern approaches
  • Understanding of network and internet technology concepts, web server technologies, database technologies, Microsoft environments, and data center operations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, continuous-improvement environment
  • Technical and/or industry knowledge sharing
  • Problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Experience with problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving
  • Ability to learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and client commitments concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to engage in technical conversations with technical support groups
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without employer sponsorship
  • Preferred experience with PowerShell, C# automation, Splunk, Dynatrace, Apigee, TFS/Azure DevOps, Windows Server, Linux Server, and Microsoft Office
