Key responsibilities & impact

Provide pragmatic and commercially focused advice to ensure Santander's advertising and marketing activity complies with regulatory requirements, industry codes and internal standards
Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the Bank
Support delivery of customer communications and campaigns
Monitor developments in regulation, industry guidance and regulatory rulings
Assess and communicate the potential impact of regulatory developments to Santander
Ensure appropriate governance and approval processes are followed for proposals, documents, promotions and customer communications
Support colleagues in understanding and applying financial promotions requirements while balancing customer and commercial outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to critically analyse/evaluate issues effectively
Strong interpersonal, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across the business
Financial services industry knowledge
Attention to detail
Ability to work to tight timescales and balance competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience or knowledge in compliance advisory, conduct risk, financial promotions, marketing governance, or financial services marketing
Good understanding of the financial services industry and FCA rules, with an emphasis on financial promotion rules (Preferred)
Knowledge of Santander products and initiatives (Preferred)
Commercial awareness to support delivery of compliant and compelling promotions (Preferred)
Understanding of advertising standards and regulatory requirements (Preferred)
