About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation across US and international entities
Manage intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translation
Ensure compliant financial statements under US GAAP and applicable international/local requirements
Deliver reporting packages to the CFO, board, and private equity sponsor, including SaaS metrics
Improve days-to-close through process discipline and automation
Serve as technical accounting authority for ASC 606, ASC 842, equity compensation/409A, and life-sciences R&D cost treatment
Evaluate and document accounting treatment for new products, contract structures, and non-routine transactions
Monitor new accounting standards and lead implementation
Design and maintain internal controls for audit, SOX, and exit readiness
Own statutory and regulatory compliance filings
Manage annual external audit and quarterly reviews as primary auditor contact
Prepare reporting packages for PE sponsor, lenders, and board, including covenant compliance reporting
Support financial due diligence and quality-of-earnings reviews
Own cash management, cash-flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity visibility, and working capital optimization
Support acquisition due diligence and post-close integration
Own and improve ERP/consolidation systems and drive automation
Build, lead, and mentor a global accounting team
Establish scalable roles, career paths, and performance expectations
Partner with FP&A, Legal, Revenue Operations, and business leaders on financial reporting and business decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or international equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Public accounting experience; Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred
Experience owning global, multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation
Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and equity compensation
Working knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP
Experience in a SaaS or software business
Experience in a private equity-backed environment, including lender/covenant reporting
Experience managing and developing a distributed team
Strong ERP systems experience, such as NetSuite or comparable
Must sit within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States
