About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide application expertise and technical support for filtration and separation products through customer presentations, demonstrations, trials, and training
- Support customers throughout product evaluation, implementation, and optimization while partnering with the sales team to drive product adoption and business growth
- Contribute market and customer insights through data analysis and customer interactions
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and other events to identify opportunities and strengthen customer relationships
- Support sales on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations, application studies, beta site testing, and demonstrations of new products
- Support the assigned product line and sales target achievement in the defined territory
- Support customer process and URS analysis and generate application trials
- Provide proactive technical support, answer inquiries, and resolve field implementation problems
- Support quality complaint investigations by troubleshooting and analyzing customer processes
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze product performance and customer feedback data
- Report competitor product information and feedback to application specialist and product management
- Provide basic product training to internal sales and dealers and run external customer workshops and seminars
- Conduct trials and demonstrations and create trial reports
- Collaborate with interfaces to define trial scope and acceptance criteria and build professional trial reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in biological engineering, biotechnology or other life sciences related field
- Familiar with related products, laboratory processes and equipment
- Strong customer orientation and “sales mind”
- Native-level spoken and written Japanese
- Intermediate level spoken and written English (e.g. TOEIC 600 and above)
- Proven experience in a similar position and industry
- Familiarity with life science application experiment technology
- Strong learning ability, and expert knowledge base in this area
- Ability to work effectively within matrix organization (e.g. product / project / division management)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven IT/software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications)
