About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead sales organization initiatives across the broader Public Sector market, including Federal, State & Local Governments, Higher Education, K-12 (SLED), and key Systems Integrators/Public Sector Partners
- Set and execute the strategic vision to accelerate short- and long-term subscription revenue expansion across government jurisdictions and public institutions
- Lead the Public Sector sales organization and drive revenue expansion and market penetration across federal and SLED accounts
- Craft and execute a cohesive public sector go-to-market strategy leveraging Saviynt’s compliance-certified portfolio, including FedRAMP and StateRAMP frameworks
- Oversee the customer lifecycle from early-stage procurement engagement to contract award and long-term renewal
- Strengthen relationships with public sector procurement leaders, prime contractors, and ecosystem partners
- Build disciplined, metric-driven, and repeatable sales processes
- Implement scalable infrastructure supporting ambitious revenue growth targets of +$5M ARR
- Hire, coach, and manage a high-performing team of Sales Directors
- Oversee team structure, performance management, territory planning, professional development, and succession planning
- Align sales, marketing, product management, and customer success on competitive positioning, brand awareness, and public sector procurement execution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years of enterprise software sales leadership experience within the Public Sector market (Federal, State, Local, and/or Education)
- Verifiable track record of building and scaling a sales force to $10M+ ARR
- Deep knowledge of public sector procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and government buying behaviors
- Ability to build innovative go-to-market models and operate hands-on in the field when required
- Proven track record of building, motivating, and retaining world-class sales teams using structured, repeatable sales methodologies
- Ability to bridge gaps across internal teams and external channel partners
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Adherence to Saviynt’s information security and privacy policies and procedures, including annual security training
