About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete ACORD applications for Workers' Comp and general commercial P&C
- Upload underwriting packets to carrier portals or underwriters directly
- Follow up daily on underwriting packet status
- Monitor QQCatalyst alert dashboard for accounts expiring in 60 to 90 days
- Manage and update employee censuses for group health prospects and renewals
- Run health insurance quote comparisons across carrier portals
- Answer office phone calls and handle bilingual inquiries in English and Mandarin
- Collect new client information and set up structured client files
- Review incoming forms for missing details
- Track renewal dates and issue renewal notices
- Collect updated client details and file updated forms
- Follow up on pending documents and client signatures
- Maintain QQCatalyst data hygiene, including profiles, documents, effective dates, and communication logs
- Send automated renewal reminders and chase missing underwriting information
- Assist with renewal payment collection and EFT/ACH setup
- Support the day-to-day operations of a US-based insurance agency and Chinese-speaking clientele
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English
- 2+ years supporting a US-based independent insurance agency
- Hands-on commercial quoting and renewal experience
- Vertafore QQCatalyst proficiency required
- Hands-on experience with major P&C, professional liability, and health carrier portals strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ACORD forms, loss runs, E&S compliance, cyber/professional supplements, and health census data
- Detail-oriented and proactive
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take full ownership of policy renewals, client communication, and administrative processes
