About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy directly into clients' technical ecosystems and understand their workflows, technical environments, and mission challenges
  • Design, build, and ship production-grade Python applications, advanced SQL solutions, APIs, data pipelines, and AI/ML prototypes
  • Lead the technical lifecycle of strategic deployments from discovery and architectural design through implementation and operationalization
  • Serve as the primary technical authority, leading technical workshops, debugging complex systems, and advising clients on Sayari's platform
  • Translate ambiguous mission requirements into scalable data models and workflows
  • Build data pipelines into client persistence layers such as Snowflake and Databricks
  • Act as the conduit between clients and core engineering teams, translating operational needs and feedback into scalable product features
  • Brief C-level executives, intelligence analysts, or mission directors on project outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing, technical role
  • Ability to write clean, production-ready code
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python, and data manipulation ecosystem such as Pandas
  • Deep fluency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
  • Practical experience consuming, integrating, and reasoning about RESTful APIs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous, complex scenarios
  • Relentless drive and intellectual curiosity; comfort learning new technologies on the fly
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field strongly preferred
  • Practical experience leveraging AI, including prompting LLMs or using their APIs
  • Experience building and deploying solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or Prefect
  • Knowledge of graph data technologies such as Neo4j or TigerGraph and corresponding query languages
  • Exposure to machine learning applications, particularly NLP or entity resolution
  • Experience in or demonstrated passion for AML/Financial Crime, Supply Chain Risk, or National Security
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
