About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide comprehensive EHS leadership to all departments and employees
  • Administer environmental, health, and safety systems, policies, procedures, safety campaigns, and programs
  • Create a culture of safety as a value
  • Plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations
  • Develop and standardize effective EHS training and communication for employees and managers
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs, including annual JHA and individual safety program reviews
  • Communicate health and safety issues and divisional EHS performance and compliance assessments to the Director of EHS and VP of EHS
  • Conduct compliance audits and inspections
  • Develop audit findings and verify completion of required follow-up
  • Assess safety, health, and environmental impacts of new processes and equipment and formulate objectives
  • Monitor EHS regulations, standards, and reporting requirements and evaluate their operational effects
  • Create and maintain internal assessments and inspections to support compliance and self-governance
  • Implement, audit, and continually develop the focus site program
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain the knowledge center in the 4Insite software program
  • Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, assigning work, performance evaluations, training, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving complaints and problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field from a four-year college or university with 5-8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities as necessary
  • Regular travel required; 50% travel
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations, accepted standards, and reporting requirements
  • Supervisory and employee-management experience
  • Ability to sit regularly, walk frequently, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and stand occasionally
