About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Safely clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectant
  • Maintain appropriate par levels for each department
  • Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
  • Read par sheets and inventory levels
  • Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
  • Obtain supplies via the Stock Acquisition Process
  • Perform duties listed on the daily schedule
  • Operate a pushcart to transport equipment
  • Maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area
  • Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Stop at-risk behavior of others and self
  • Perform work assignments as part of a team
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follow protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers
  • Fill in during staff shortages
  • Support the shift lead in completing punch-list items
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • No specific education requirements
  • Completed all safety and task training certification
  • Ability to read inventory forms
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with the team
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work Thursday–Monday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off
