About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all finance activities for assigned portfolios and territories
  • Handle budgeting, performance monitoring, and client-specific strategic business initiatives
  • Participate in client meetings and design solutions for SBM and its clients
  • Ensure financial cost models meet operating unit, client, and GAAP reporting requirements
  • Recommend expenditure and revenue requirements aligned with corporate economic strategies
  • Support Operations with budget preparation, proposal review, documentation, and justification
  • Provide weekly financial performance communications and reporting
  • Review divisional financial status and program progress related to operational performance
  • Escalate critical financial issues and track action plans for closing budget gaps
  • Assess risk exposure related to labor agreements, payroll taxes, salary structures, service contracts, workers’ compensation, and liability claims
  • Support Business Development pricing activities for new and existing customers
  • Identify cost drivers to improve pricing structures and competitive advantage
  • Analyze internal and external market data to reduce overall cost of ownership
  • Use market intelligence to quantify emerging market segments and increase customer value proposition
  • Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, assigning work, performance evaluations, training, and resolving problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MBA highly preferred
  • A valid driver's license may be required based on business needs
  • Employees required to drive must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities when necessary
