About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Audit manual workflows across accounting, purchasing, operations, customer service, marketing, catalog management, and reporting
Identify, prioritize, build, and implement AI-powered automations
Automate accounting workflows, beginning with credit card reconciliation
Consolidate data from 7–8 sources into a reporting layer
Automate invoice reconciliation between order management software and QuickBooks
Own and improve an AI-powered customer-support ticketing agent
Expand the support agent’s knowledge library and tune its auto-response success rate
Clean and maintain a product catalog containing tens of thousands of SKUs
Build tools or AI agents for product listing creation and catalog maintenance
Connect sales history and inventory data to improve purchasing and reorder decisions
Develop reporting on product sales velocity and inventory reorder timing
Support non-technical team members with AI-powered solutions and enablement
Use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code to build and ship internal tools
Work directly with department leads to scope and prioritize automation projects
Determine workflows, data sources, and prompts for each solution
Own projects end to end, including audit, development, rollout, and adoption
Work independently with minimal oversight
Meet with every department during the first 30 days and deliver a prioritized automation roadmap to the founder

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated experience implementing AI automations in a business environment that other team members actively use
Experience identifying business problems and translating them into practical automation solutions
Experience independently taking automation projects from initial audit through build and rollout
Experience consolidating and reconciling data across multiple disconnected systems or sources
Strong business-first approach to identifying and prioritizing AI automation opportunities
Ability to take ambiguous business problems and independently determine the appropriate workflow, data sources, and prompts
Hands-on proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or comparable tools
Ability to build and ship functional AI automations
Ability to work with and reconcile information across disconnected systems and data sources
Ability to independently own automation projects from audit through implementation and adoption
Ability to work effectively with unfamiliar and custom-built systems
Availability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST / U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone
English-language resume required; English proficiency assessed in application
