About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, research, and prospect independent retail accounts across the U.S. and Canada
  • Build prospect lists based on brands carried, price points, and other relevant factors
  • Contact prospects through email, cold calling, in-person outreach, social networks, magazines, and other channels
  • Communicate key brand information and answer detailed prospect questions
  • Identify support required to secure new business
  • Recommend opening orders based on account needs
  • Develop personalized offers involving retail products, testers, sampling, and free versus billed SKUs
  • Organize and deliver training for new client accounts
  • Support retail marketing initiatives, windows, sampling, and partnerships for new launches
  • Maintain relationships with existing accounts while growing new accounts
  • Maintain CRM pipeline and keep prospect, activity, and opportunity information current
  • Review the sales pipeline weekly with the Sales Manager
  • Organize, prioritize, and follow up on sales opportunities
  • Manage Faire, including order processing, customer messaging, and account maintenance
  • Update brand reporting daily and review results weekly with the Sales Manager
  • Collaborate with sales and accounting teams to monitor open orders
  • Help ensure purchase orders ship as scheduled
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and assigned responsibilities by deadlines
  • Represent multiple beauty brands professionally and consistently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven sales experience with independent accounts
  • Experience consulting with business owners and building strong relationships with business partners
  • Experience supporting both new account acquisition and existing account relationships
  • Experience supporting sell-in and sell-through activities
  • Experience working independently within a small team
  • Experience with HubSpot and Faire is a strong plus
  • Strong sales and business development skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills with business owners and retail partners
  • Ability to conduct prospect research and identify potential accounts
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, account, and reporting information
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently within a small team
  • Ability to represent multiple beauty brands consistently and professionally
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada occasionally if required
  • Must be available to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST aligned with the client’s time zone
