About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead on-site IT operational support and field services across Scaleway datacenters
- Manage Team Leaders and Datacenter IT Technicians across Paris North and South datacenter clusters
- Oversee overall operational delivery and ensure service performance
- Monitor KPIs, produce activity reports, and implement corrective and improvement plans
- Drive expansion and onboarding of datacenter technical teams supporting high-performance computing demands in and out of working hours
- Manage relationships with hardware and service suppliers and hold vendors accountable to SLAs
- Collaborate with Supply, Deployment, Hardware Support, and Product Engineering teams
- Manage ticketing, asset workflows, and operational tracking using Jira, Jira Service Management, Odoo, and Google Sheets
- Report directly to the Datacenter Operations Manager
- Travel regularly to datacenters across the Paris region, visit supplier sites, and occasionally travel internationally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience in a similar datacenter management or IT operations leadership role
- Proven track record managing team leads/supervisors
- Experience driving field operations
- Experience overseeing SLA/KPI compliance in high-security datacenter environments
- Background supervising third-party service providers, contractors, and hardware suppliers
- Proficiency in Jira, Jira Service Management, Odoo, and Google Sheets
- Strong capability to monitor performance metrics, anticipate bottlenecks, and drive continuous process improvement
- Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental relationships and team leadership
- Comfortable leading in a fast-growing, highly regulated environment
- Background check is mandatory
- Ability to work in a predominantly English- and French-speaking international environment
