About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect and build robust, observable, and extensible integration systems
- Build and maintain REST API integrations with third-party referral sources, attorney platforms, and demand aggregators
- Implement OAuth flows, rate limiting, retry logic, and schema versioning
- Design and implement HL7 v2 transformation pipelines for ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, and MDM messages
- Build and maintain integration connectors for modern and legacy imaging center RIS systems
- Architect fault-tolerant message queuing and delivery infrastructure for HL7 and API traffic
- Develop demand-side EHR integrations with FHIR-compliant and other standards-based representations
- Own observability through structured logging, alerting, and dashboards
- Contribute to integration onboarding tooling
- Mentor mid-level engineers and participate in architecture reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong command of message transformation architecture
- Ability to design observable, replayable, and extensible integration pipelines
- Proficiency in at least one backend language used in high-reliability integration contexts, including Python, Ruby, Java, or C#
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration patterns, schema versioning, backward compatibility, and API contract management
- Strong operational instincts, including instrumentation and failure-mode analysis
- Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
