About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the vehicle build process from order intake to delivery
  • Process new truck deliveries
  • Register vehicles
  • Generate purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to accurately build vehicles
  • Act as the conduit between customers, third-party vendors and the workshop as a single point of contact
  • Manage customer expectations by providing timely job-progress updates
  • Handle cash sales transactions and conduct vehicle handovers upon completion
  • Manage quotations, including checking customer credit limits and guarantees of payment
  • Identify the applicable payer, such as warranty, contracts or cash sale
  • Create and invoice work orders, add job lines and allocate work to the workshop planner based on booking capacity and workload
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities by promoting additional products or services
  • Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate new vehicle movements through the Scania Australia Service Network

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and show initiative
  • Strong time management, organisation and administration abilities
  • Effective problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical or workshop aptitude is advantageous
  • Vehicle/transport industry and administration experience preferable
  • Full working rights or citizenship of New Zealand or Australia
  • Successful completion of standard pre-employment checks, including medical and other background checks
