About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and maintain storage, backup and virtualization environments, ensuring service availability, performance and reliability.
Plan and execute infrastructure deployment, upgrade, migration and expansion activities.
Resolve highly complex incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions.
Administer backup, restoration and disaster recovery routines, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Monitor environment capacity and propose improvements to performance, scalability and resource utilization.
Support infrastructure and digital transformation projects, serving as a technical reference for storage, backup and virtualization.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and infrastructure standards.
Work collaboratively with global teams, vendors and other IT departments to ensure the platform’s continuous evolution.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience administering storage, backup and virtualization environments.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V or similar technologies.
Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup or equivalent platforms.
Knowledge of server hardware.
Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS and Object Storage.
Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Advanced English proficiency.
Experience with hybrid infrastructure and cloud services such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
Knowledge of automation using PowerShell, Python or similar tools.
Certifications in VMware, Veeam, storage vendors or cloud platforms.
Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management processes.
Experience working in global corporate environments.
