About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct mechanical design engineering activities required to develop competitive products
- Develop the mechanical system structure from the architecture and consider risk-analysis measures in the construction
- Break down structures into subsystems and components and create detailed product specifications
- Evaluate whether existing subsystems and components can be reused
- Develop alternative structures and select the most suitable option
- Ensure double-sided traceability with the mechanical architecture
- Provide work results under configuration management, including material designation, versioning, and storage location
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field
- Applicable engineering and physics knowledge
- Understanding of vehicle powertrain architectures and components
- Basic understanding of electric machines
- Basic understanding of controls of hydraulics and heat transfer
- Understanding of modelling and simulating electric or mechatronic systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability
- Strong presentation skills
- Customer focused
- External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
