About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and operate at least one production process using CNC or manually controlled equipment
Perform problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced by the process or machine
Routinely check machinery and perform basic maintenance and corrective action
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment
Accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or set up machines for others to operate when required
Read and interpret production prints
Access production procedures using computer systems
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards
Meet applicable training-matrix skill requirements and maintain Certified Operator Program certification

Requirements

What you’ll need

Grade 12 diploma
Equivalent machining background or mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Ability to perform inspections using precision measuring equipment
Ability to meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix
Maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program
Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Temporary residents/international students require an exemption from the Canadian government to access export-controlled goods
Ability to work as a full-time employee
