About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and operate at least one production process using CNC or manually controlled equipment
Perform problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues to meet required standards
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced
Monitor production processes according to the maintenance schedule
Perform routine maintenance in a timely manner
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment
Accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or set up machines for other operators when required
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards in all areas

Requirements

What you’ll need

Grade 12 diploma
Demonstrated competency as a Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Ability to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Temporary residents/international students require Canadian government exemption for access to export-controlled goods
Ability to perform precision measurement and inspect own work
Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot production/process issues
