About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow standard work instructions and work specifications
- Collect, record, document, and enter required data
- Support capital expenditure projects within scope, time, and cost constraints
- Support completion of TPM work orders
- Drive technical improvement activities involving scrap, efficiency, utilization, quality, cost, and cycle time
- Support small-step improvements related to quality, cost, logistics, and motivation
- Participate in process troubleshooting
- Reduce direct expenses by standardizing and optimizing tooling and machine components
- Support optimization of machine parameters
- Support Quality department efforts related to customer concerns
- Support development of standard practices for similar processes
- Participate in capital expansion projects and launches
- Support workshops involving 5S, Setup, TPM, CIP, product quality, scrap reduction, and productivity
- Create process troubleshooting sheets for machining and assembly processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Industrial Maintenance Mechanic trade certificate or apprentice in T&D at SCI
- Valid 433A Millwright License
- Able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment
- Able to pass criminal background check
- Compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Temporary work permit holders may require Canadian government exemption for access to export-controlled goods
