About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and maintain the development and continuous improvement of mechanical production equipment and concepts
- Design and develop mechanical manufacturing equipment for the Schaeffler Production System
- Define processes for developing innovative solutions and meeting future demand
- Support the further development of the mechanical engineering sector
- Create technical documentation, drawings, and specifications in compliance with industry standards
- Analyze, calculate, and create business or technical concepts and solutions
- Continuously optimize concepts, processes, procedures, products, and tools
- Develop and mechanically design special assembly, inspection, feed, and production machinery for Schaeffler Group and external customers
- Ensure delivered equipment meets technical, economic, and qualitative requirements
- Carry out required calculations and tests
- Prepare layouts, drafts, and 3D models
- Detail designs and prepare bills of materials
- Select suppliers for mechanical components
- Prepare risk assessments and process descriptions
- Manage fluid plans and monitor them
- Serve as technical contact for special machinery after delivery
- Provide support during on-site installation and commissioning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- A successfully completed degree in technical studies or successfully completed training to become a technical engineer with several years of professional experience
- Strong experience in mechanical design with the CAD tool Creo and WindChill used in special machine construction
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in Automation Machine Design, EMS, PCB Components
- Experience with mechanical production equipment and special machine construction
- Knowledge of technical documentation, drawings, and specifications in compliance with industry standards
- Ability to perform calculations and tests
- Ability to prepare layouts, drafts, and 3D models
- Ability to prepare bills of materials
- Ability to select suppliers for mechanical components
- Ability to prepare risk assessments and process descriptions
- Knowledge of fluid plans
- Willingness and ability to support installation and commissioning at site
