About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and operate at least one production process performing single and/or multiple functions
Perform problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues to meet required standards
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced by the process
Monitor production processes according to the maintenance schedule
Perform routine maintenance in a timely manner
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment
Accurately record data in routers, IMS and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or set up machines for others to operate when required
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards in all areas

Requirements

What you’ll need

Grade 12 diploma
Demonstrated competency as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background
Ability to set up and operate CNC or manually controlled equipment
Ability to troubleshoot production/process issues
Ability to inspect work using precision measuring equipment
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
