About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and operate at least one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, including CNC or manually controlled equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve production and process issues
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced
Monitor production processes according to the maintenance schedule
Perform routine maintenance in a timely manner
Inspect work using precision measuring equipment
Record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or set up machines for other operators when required
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Grade 12 diploma
Demonstrated competency as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Ability to perform work using precision measuring equipment
Ability to set up and operate CNC or manually controlled equipment
