About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement quality standards, initiatives, and technical concepts; verify application and effectiveness
- Monitor and evaluate production quality documentation and improve process quality through quality KPI monitoring
- Oversee quality assurance across manufacturing processes, including authority to stop production and block suspect or defective parts or products
- Identify weak areas and define and ensure implementation of improvement actions
- Support quality development across associated Linear Motion plants and segments
- Define, implement, control, and consolidate quality activities in plants and segments
- Document, interpret, and report quality data for Operations Quality BD Linear Motion
- Support and take responsibility for continuous quality improvement projects in Operations and associated plants
- Develop and pursue measures for deviations from targets and complaints
- Introduce best practices and lessons learned activities
- Monitor and support localization in the regions
- Support implementation of customer-specific quality requirements
- Ensure and expand quality standards and globally shared quality understanding
- Define and create instructions for quality-related Operations topics
- Manage complaints and related costs, initiate corrective actions, and lead structured problem solving
- Track corrective action implementation, including lessons learned
- Define and coordinate capability checks of manufacturing equipment during release and restart
- Provide quality-related training for Operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed technical or scientific studies or vocational training in a technical field
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in quality management
- Specific knowledge of quality assurance in development and production
- Very good command of written and spoken English and German
- International experience negotiating with customers and external partners, including controversial and sensitive contexts
- Knowledge of quality systems and their application and implementation
- Knowledge of quality methods including PPAP, FMEA, Ishikawa, and 5 Why, and their application
- International cultural experience and willingness to travel internationally
- Experience in project management
- Confident appearance and negotiating skills at all management levels, internally and externally
