About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Organize complex purchasing projects involving extensive specification of requirements or negotiation processes
Define sourcing activities and execute project-related purchasing activities, including Make-or-Buy analysis
Integrate external suppliers into the product development process to ensure external delivery at start of production
Represent the Purchasing department in product development projects
Take responsibility for component-specific cost validation and alignment
Cooperate with supply-chain interfaces and execute change management in projects
Collaborate with project teams to align purchasing activities with project goals
Lead E-mobility Business Unit Purchasing projects to achieve correct cost structure, on-time launches, and technical cost-reduction initiatives
Manage project launches for E-mobility projects, focusing on E-Drives and supporting Mechatronics and Modules
Participate in or lead technical cost-saving initiatives
Search for and develop new suppliers
Create, manage, and support new project acquisitions from Purchasing input in North America

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and/or Engineering
1+ Years of Automotive Purchasing Experience (3+ years experience preferred)
Valid Passport - Required
Fluency in English - Required
Proficient/Expert in Microsoft Suite programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Experienced with AI Tools i.e. chatbots, python, assistant models
Strong negotiation, Project Management, Problem Solving, and People Development Skills
Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management both domestic and abroad
Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
