About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with new-hire orientation and train associates on Product Coordinator Level I, II, and III functions.
  • Direct a small team of associates in one or more facility functional areas under warehouse supervisor or branch manager supervision.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and motivate the warehouse team.
  • Serve as designated branch trainer for new processes and procedures.
  • Assist with planning and presenting daily start-up meetings.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert for Labor Data Collection and ensure Labor Data Cards are completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist with daily Wave production planning and coordination.
  • Lead special projects as needed.
  • Support continuous process improvement for warehouse functions.
  • Perform basic supervisory tasks during the temporary absence of the warehouse supervisor.
  • Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment and report low supplies, reorders, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or injuries.
  • Ensure proper utilization of warehouse equipment and tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases.
  • Operate motorized pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, Hi-Lo, and Cherry Picker equipment after completing the SBF power equipment training program.
  • Maintain courteous and positive relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Must have previous Stand-Up lift experience (Hi-Lo, Cherry Picker, etc).
  • Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (i.e., ordering replenishment) effectively with minimal errors.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct other employees.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • If certified, must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. to a height of 70 inches occasionally on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to push wheeled cases weighing over 300 lbs., with an initial force of up to 50 lbs. and sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, reach, squat, bend, kneel, walk, stoop, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, and balance as necessary.
  • Must be able to tolerate work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
  • Must be able to meet the specified vision requirements.
  • Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance.
