About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
  • Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
  • Assist providers with recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines
  • Understand patient flow and anticipate providers' next steps
  • Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment at the beginning of each shift
  • Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
  • Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert Head MA and/or GM about low supplies
  • Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous healthcare experience is required
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Dermatology experience preferred
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
  • Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
  • Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
  • Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm
  • Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
  • Must attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
