About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
- Assist providers in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures within established guidelines
- Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
- Scan retail, cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert Head MA and/or GM about low supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
- Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Open to no experience with an interest in healthcare
- Teamwork experience
- Detail oriented with a flexible schedule
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
- Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am–7:30pm
- Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
