About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines
- Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients
- Check equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper working order
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
- Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily
- Alert Head MA and/or GM about low-level supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous healthcare experience required
- Healthcare experience required
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
- Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7a–7:30p
- Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
- Must be able to work in-office
