Medical Assistant – Mohs, Part Time

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and patient care
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
- Assist providers with recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures
- Understand patient flow and anticipate provider next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients and check equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
- Scan retail, cosmetic products, and medical supplies daily and alert Head MA and/or GM about low supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous healthcare experience required
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
- Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am-7:30pm
- Open flexibility to help cover in a team environment
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
