About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct assigned and/or collaborative research, data analyses and/or software engineering activities supporting technical and program objectives
- Support business development activities by developing technical proposal content and supporting data analyses and/or software engineering under the guidance of a proposal technical lead
- Document and communicate technical results, data analyses, key findings, and conclusions of research and development activities to internal audiences
- Contribute to publications as needed
- Work at a desk and on a computer for prolonged periods of time
- May push, pull, or lift up to 15 pounds
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar educational background, or equivalent experience and 3+ years of experience in related industry experience, or Master’s Degree and 1+ years of experience in a related field
- Advanced experience in research software development with relevant programming skills in MATLAB/C++/Python
- Experience with AI/ML/Autonomy software libraries
- Experience with simulation, development and deployment environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active US DOD security clearance
- Experience with sensors and/or autonomous vehicles
- Master’s of Science degree
- Ability to identify, analyze, and creatively solve complex problems
- Ability to execute logical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
