About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop advanced software for multi-vehicle autonomy in complex, contested environments
  • Design, implement, and test autonomy software systems for embedded uncrewed multi-vehicle autonomy as part of a team
  • Develop and run simulations for autonomous software
  • Build simulation environments for demonstration and testing of autonomous software
  • Support presentation of technical results to internal and external customers
  • Support other company initiatives and programs
  • Travel periodically as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Software Engineering, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physical Science, Operations Research, or Data Science
  • 5+ years of experience with modern C++, CMake, Git, dockerized development, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience developing autonomy and AI software for robotics, machine learning, robot planning/optimization techniques, and/or autonomous uncrewed systems
  • Experience with Linux-based development environments and embedded platforms such as Nvidia Jetson
  • Experience with modern software development toolchains and processes, including Agile, GitLab/GitHub, Confluence/Jira, and automated test methodologies
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Security Clearance
  • Effective oral communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an integration-focused development team
  • Familiarity with DoD or common robotics and datalink architecture standards, especially OMS/UCI and AFSIM; also FACE, DDS, ROS, STANAG 4586, J-Series, and UMAA
  • Familiarity with Python and Conan package manager
  • Familiarity with AI robotic navigation and decision algorithms, including A*, RRT, Simulated Annealing, Genetic Algorithms, Tabu Search, and distributed coordination algorithms
  • Experience working on DOD projects
