About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Head of People and Culture
  • Complete recruitment and HR-related administrative duties accurately and promptly
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee enquiries about recruitment, BambooHR and policies
  • Liaise with recruiting managers and HR Partners on vacancies, advertising channels and selection methods
  • Arrange job advertisements and liaise with recruitment agencies
  • Process applications, rejection letters, interview invitations and interview arrangements
  • Support selection panels and attend interviews as appropriate
  • Check employee eligibility to work and request visa updates
  • Manage onboarding tasks in BambooHR and complete new starter documentation and payroll updates
  • Provide practical advice on HR policies and procedures
  • Assist with maternity, absence, flexible working, parental leave and annual leave matters
  • Support employees throughout the employment lifecycle
  • Research and undertake projects and ad-hoc tasks
  • Keep current with employment legislation, Scope HR policies and HR best practice
  • Support employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
  • Prepare employee letters, references, pay and pension updates, contractual documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing and archiving in line with GDPR requirements
  • Enter and maintain employee data and records in BambooHR and monitoring spreadsheets
  • Support payroll administration, pension processing and benefits scheme administration
  • Assist with workshops and maintain accessible policies, procedures, benefits and forms
  • Audit HR system data, manage system upgrades and create Work Instructions
  • Coordinate Health and Safety programmes covering driver safety, manual handling, ergonomic assessments, first aid and mental health first aid
  • Manage contracts and relationships for Employee Assistance Programmes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3rd Level Qualification
  • CIPD level 3 qualified or equivalent qualifications/skills gained through experience or working towards this
  • Business qualification with a specialisation in Human Resources is desirable
  • Previous experience working in HR, ideally including recruitment, payroll and benefits administration, is desirable
  • Strong IT skills and experience of HR systems
  • Good understanding of current employment law and HR best practice
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Good initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Confident and proactive in liaising with people at all levels and working as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel within own country (10%) and internationally (10%)
