About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use critical thinking and respond quickly and professionally in stressful and emergent situations
- Provide clinical assessment and nursing triage to diverse patients across the health continuum
- Provide health education to culturally diverse populations
- Direct patients to the most appropriate level of care
- Provide telephonic health information and nursing education
- Empower patients to make better healthcare decisions
- Help patients access external programs and resources
- Collaborate with Telehealth providers by referring appropriate patients for virtual care visits
- Provide outbound follow-up calls as necessary
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Nursing Degree (Diploma, ADN, BSN) required
- Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state where the candidate resides
- Ability to obtain multi-state licensure
- eNLC preferred or ability to obtain
- Two to four years of clinical experience required
- Hospital experience in medical-surgical, critical care, or inpatient care setting preferred
- Experience in Emergency Room, EMT, or triage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of health insurance, community resources, and community-based healthcare coordination
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficiency with computers, software applications, and phone systems
- Knowledge of hospital Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Manage patient information according to HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to plan, supervise, and review clinical and non-clinical staff work
- Ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours
- Ability to work 7am–3pm CT, three days per week
