About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build projects from design to launch on established and new products
Collaborate with PMs, designers, and other engineers to execute product builds
Contribute to technical discussions and balance short-term delivery with long-term architecture
Uphold engineering practices including code review, test coverage, and observability
Build and operate high-throughput backend services, queues, and storage systems
Improve performance and reliability of services, database queries, endpoints, and caching across critical workflows
Participate in the on-call rotation for systems built

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years building backend applications
Product-minded and attentive to user problems
Comfortable with unclear problems and fast change
Strong Python or Go experience, or experience in another backend language with willingness to work across Python and Go
Familiarity with queues, object storage, and relational or time-series databases
Experience debugging production problems using metrics and logs
AI/LLM product experience (nice to have)
Startup experience (nice to have)
