Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop the new cloud data platform and provide stakeholders with business-critical data and high-quality customer value
  • Enable Asset Management with a data platform and the tools that power data
  • Work with regulatory and business-related development in the Fund and Portfolio area
  • Develop a cloud data warehouse solution that supports and optimizes the business
  • Provide stakeholders with business-critical data
  • Work across requirements, testing, development, and deployment
  • Maintain an active dialogue with stakeholders about solutions
  • Contribute to technical design decisions
  • Investigate new technologies and concepts and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Coach team members and perform code reviews
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for regulatory use cases

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience as a Data Engineer, designing, building, and optimizing scalable data products and integration pipelines on GCP
  • Strong experience in data integration, data modeling, data structures, data pipelines, and data management
  • Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Apache Airflow
  • Experience with data warehousing and modern cloud-based data infrastructure
  • Strong programming and development skills in SQL, Python, and DBT
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, testing, test automation, version control (e.g., Git), and agile development methodologies
  • A solid understanding of data quality, observability, performance monitoring, and alerting strategies
  • A collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuously improving engineering practices and data capabilities
  • Show interest and respect for others, and are comfortable coordinating work, taking initiative and addressing significant issues
  • Proactive team player who enjoys collaborating, sharing knowledge, and learning from others
  • Experienced in working in an agile environment
  • Fluency in English
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with other cloud platforms in addition to GCP is meritorious
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code is meritorious
  • Experience with Dataform for SQL transformation and automation is meritorious
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics tools and data-driven decision-making practices is meritorious
